  • 4 Parts White Cuban Rum
  • 3 Parts Lime Juice (preferably fresh)
  • 2 Teaspoons White Sugar
  • 6 Mint Sprigs
  • Soda Water
  • Ice to Fill Glass


  1. In a strong (not fragile) glass, muddle together the mint sprigs, sugar, and lime juice.  Add a splash of soda water.

  2. Add ice to the glass.  

  3. Pour in the white cuban rum.

  4. Top with a splash of the soda water.

  5. Garnish with more mint sprigs and, if you like, a slice of lime.
