  • 1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Ground Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 330 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Take out a stick of butter out several hours before you start cooking.  The butter should be soft, but not melted.

  3. In a bowl, add the paprika, onion powder, chipotle chili pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, California chili pepper, celery salt, garlic powder, and pepper.  Stir or toss to combine.

  4. In a bowl, add the paprika, onion powder, chipotle chili pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, California chili pepper, celery salt, garlic powder, and pepper.  Stir or toss to combine.

  5. Slather each pice of chicken with the softened butter.  Make sure that you get under the skin and in each crevasse.

  6. Cover each drumstick with the BBQ Dry Rub Spice Mixture.  Lay the chicken drumsticks on the prepared pan.

  7. Bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Recipe Notes

While this recipe is for an oven baked BBQ chicken, it would also work well on a outdoor BBQ grill.
