Easy Classic Chicken Salad Recipe

This easy and delicious Chicken Salad Recipe is the base for so many recipes.  On its own and served with celery sticks or in lettuce wraps, it is completely Keto friendly.  This is also the base for classic Chicken Salad Tea Sandwiches, or hardy Chicken Salad Sandwiches on Croissants.  


  • 4 Cups Baked and Shredded or Chopped Chicken Breasts
  • 3/4 Cup Mayonnaise (use a full fat mayo with egg yolks)
  • 2 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Onion
  • 4 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Celery
  • 1 Tablespoon Finely Chopped or Shredded Carrot
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Dill Weed
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Mustard Powder
  • Pepper to taste


  1. Add the baked chicken in a large bowl.  

  2. Stir in the mayonnaise. 

  3. Mix in the onions, celery, and carrots.  

  4. Stir in the salt, dill weed, onion powder, mustard powder, and pepper.
