Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Roll out the crescent roll dough on a wooden cutting board.

Cut each triangle into 3 or 4 triangular strips. Don't worry, they don't have to be symmetrical.

Brush the dough with a little mustard, ketchup, or bbq sauce.

Take a little hot dog piece and roll it in the dough, starting with the thicker end of the dough and ending with the thinner tip end of the dough.

Place the rolls on a tray or cookie sheet lined with non-stick foil.

In a small bowl or cup, beat an egg. Brush each roll with some of the beaten egg.

Sprinkle a little salt on each roll.

Bake for 16 to 18 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
