Ingredients

Basic Ingredients

  • A (9 roll) package of Hawaiian Rolls
  • .75 of a pound of thinly sliced deli style honey turkey
  • 9 large deli slices of Danish havarti cheese split
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard per sandwich
  • 1/2 teaspoon of mayonnaise per sandwich if serving the sandwich cold

Additional ingredients for the hot version of the sandwiches

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. First, sandwich the roll into top and bottom.  You can save time by doing them all at the same time.  Spread 1/4 teaspoon of the Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each roll.
  2. Fold half a slice of the havarti cheese and lay it on top of the mustard.
  3. Pile on top of the cheese some of the honey glazed Turkey.
  4. Top that with more of the havarti cheese.
  5. If serving the sandwiches cold, spread the mayo on to the top half of the slider buns and top the sandwiches off.  You are done.  You can refrigerate them until you are ready to serve them.

If serving hot, follow the next few steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a small pan, melt the butter on low-medium heat.
  3. Add the garlic and brown sugar.  Cook for about a minute.
  4. Stir in the dill and parsley and remove from heat.
  5. Drizzle the butter mixture over the rolls.
  6. Cover the rolls with non-stick foil and bake for about 18 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sandwiches are hot.
