Divide the rolls into top and bottom. For easy clean up, lay them on a baking dish lined with non stick foil.
-
Put 1/2 of each large slice of cheddar cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
-
In a bowl or container, combine the chicken with the bbq sauce, salt, pepper, onion powder, and chili powder. Pile the bbq chicken mixture over the cheese.
-
Top the bbq chicken mixture with the other half of the cheese.
-
Sandwich the top part of the buns on top.
-
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
-
Melt the butter in a small pan. As soon as it gets foamy, it’s done. Remove from heat and add the brown sugar and smokehouse maple seasoning (optional).
-
Drizzle the butter sauce over the sandwiches.
-
Cover the sandwiches with nonstick foil. Bake for about 18 minutes, or until the cheese is nice and melty.
