Tutto Fresco Fresh Italian
Orange, CA
My husband and I love Tutto Fresco. First of all, it was one of the first restaurants we went to when we started dating. I remember how towards our meal, we opted to get dessert and ended up splitting this gigantic slice of chocolate cake. Now, that’s love. They even catered our wedding rehearsal dinner.
Orange County Based Restaurant
The name “Tutto Fresco” is Italian for “Everything Fresh.” The restaurant pride itself in using fresh ingredients in their cooking.
Tutto Fresco has three locations in Orange County. The first is in the city of Rancho Santa Margarita. This one is a full service restaurant. The other two are in cities of Santa Ana and Orange.
Location: City of Orange
Since my home town is Orange, that’s the Tutto Fresco we frequent.
This location has a lot going for it. You place your order upfront and find one of my options to sit.
It has a nice cozy dining area with large super comfortable booths. Today, Mike and I opted for one of their roomy booths.
However, even the table seating is cute and has personality.
One of our favorite seating choices is outdoors. I love outdoor seating. Mike no so much. However, they have a large TV outside and often have the game on. By the game, I generally mean the Anaheim/Los Angeles Angels game, but we occasionally watch football (go USC Trojans!) and other football games.
Or, if you don’t feel like sitting, Tutto Fresco offers a drive though. Yes, a drive through! How many non-fast food restaurants do you know that offers a drive through? Talk about convenience!
The Food
Let’s talk about the food. My husband and I are more than a little obsessed with Tutto Fresco’s Spinach and Artichoke Dip. The entree items are great, but this is what we keep going back for.
I love spinach artichoke dips. I try them at pretty much every restaurant that offers them. This is by far my favorite restaurant recipe. In addition to the spinach, artichokes, cream cheese, and parmesan cheese that most recipes offer, this one is topped mozzarella…lots of fresh, warm, melted mozzarella.
For the main course, I opted for one of my favorites, the Chipotle Chicken. Being a native California girl, I love spicy food. I also love Italian food. This dish satisfies both cravings.
The dish is made with blackened chicken, sweet corn, roasted peppers, tomatoes, onions, and their creamy, spicy chipotle cream sauce. There are lots of great flavors here.
My husband went for the Baked Sausage Lasagna. This dish has lots of Italian sausage, ground beef, tomato basil sauce, and ricotta, mozzarella, and parmigiana-reggiano cheeses. Overall, a very satisfying dish.
Other recommended favorite menu items include the Calzone, the Eggplant Parmigiana, the Pollo Parmigiana, and the Short Rib Pasta.
