If you have kid’s, this make a perfect meal. It’s equally great if you are a kid at heart.
These Oven Baked Chicken Tenders are the perfect finger food to serve when you are watching sports on tv or just watching your favorite show.
Chicken tenders are a great party food. Your guest will be happy to see that you have a filling appetizer on your list of finger foods.
The great thing about them is that they are baked. You are automatically saving a few hundred calories per serving, which is always a good thing.
How to make oven baked chicken tenders:
You are going to need two large bowls or containers. One for the wet ingredients, and one for the dry ingredients.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
In the first bowl, add the mayonnaise and the egg.
FYI real mayonnaise is made with eggs. This will add the stickiness we need to keep the bread crumbs on.
Add the salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, mustard powder, cayenne pepper, chili powder, and chipotle pepper. It may seem like a lot of spices, but it adds just enough flavor to prevent the chicken from being bland.
Then, add the corn starch and give it a good stir. This will make the mixture extra sticky.
In the second bowl, add your Panko bread crumbs. I like the Panko bread crumbs because they add an extra crunchy texture to your chicken tenders. They are definitely more crunchy than regular bread crumbs.
Slather your chicken tenders with the mayonnaise mixture.
Drag your chicken into the crunch Panko bread crumbs.
Make sure you get both sides coated well.
Put your chicken strips on a non-stick rack on a baking sheet, or a baking sheet lined with non-stick foil. I put some non-stick foil under my rack for super easy clean-up.
Bake in a preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes, depending on how quickly your oven works and how golden you want them.
These chicken tenders are full of flavor and are super crunchy!
Serve the chicken tenders with ranch, BBQ, or dressing of your choice.
Enjoy!
You can serve this with a variety of dressing, including BBQ, Ranch, or my Spicy Mayo.
