Very Chocolate Martini

I love chocolate! I love all kinds of chocolate desserts…chocolate cake, chocolate souffles, chocolate ice cream, chocolate shakes, chocolate brownies (especially toped with ice cream), chocolate cookies…you get the idea. So, when I saw a chocolate martini on a menu for the first time, I had to have one. I’ve been hooked ever since.
This is the ultimate martini for a chocolate lover. You have the cocoa notes from the Irish Cream mixed with the chocolate syrup on the glass. It’s a beautiful thing.
This Chocolate Martini is pretty as it is delicious. It’s the kind of drink you’ll be proud to serve to your friends when you have a get-together.

If you are looking for a coffee-based, cold-weather drink, I would recommend my Amaretto Cream Coffee and my Chocolate Amaretto Coffee. The Chocolate Amaretto Coffee if would be an especially good choice if your party is chocolate themed. You would have the option of one cold and one hot Chocolate Cocktail.
This Chocolate Martini would be great served next to a decadent slice of chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream. Pure bliss! A dynamic trio! A chocolate lover’s dream!
How to make a chocolate martini with Irish Cream:
Drizzle a martini glass with chocolate syrup. I used Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup in mine.
You can get creative here. This is what add that beautiful, show stopping look to the drink. Have fun!
Add ice to the cocktail shaker. I added about a cup of ice.
Pour the Irish Cream Liquor in the shaker. Two of my favorite Irish Creams are Michaels Celtic Irish Cream and Baileys Irish Cream. I like them because of the creamy consistency and chocolaty cocoa undertones they each contain. Use either, or a combination of both.
Add the Vodka. Vodka has a more neutral flavor and mixes well with most other flavors.
Add the heavy cream. This will accentuate the creaminess in the Irish Cream.
Put the top on the shaker and give it a couple of shakes.
Strain the liquid into the prepared martini glasses.
This drink is so good! If you want to make it even more of a dessert, you can add some shaved chocolate on top.
Cheers! Enjoy responsibly! 🍸
