How to make the best fluffy scrambled eggs
Eggs are one of my favorite foods. Almost anything worth eating contains eggs in it.
Eggs are great at breakfast, lunch, or dinner. That’s why it’s such a disappointment when you go to a restaurant and get served rock hard scrambled eggs.
I’m going to show you have to make creamy, buttery, fluffy scrambled eggs.
This is the very basic recipe, with nothing mixed in. Once you have mastered this, you can build on it and add veggies, cheeses, and meats.
The Right Pan
Start with a good quality pan. You want one with a good non-stick surface.
Also, the size of the pan should be appropriate for the number of people serving. If I’m making scrambled eggs for myself, I use a smaller pan.
How to make the best fluffy scrambled eggs
Whisk two to three eggs in a small bowl with a teaspoon of heavy cream. Some people use milk. I find that to be too watery. Also, the richness of the cream add a nice creaminess to the eggs. Add some salt and pepper.
Add a nice sized chunk of cold butter to the eggs. This is my tip to making super creamy eggs. The butter will melt into the eggs as they cook and make them super creamy.
Heat a small pan to medium-high heat. Add about 1/4 tablespoon of butter to the pan. This is to grease the pan. You want the pan nice and hot before you add your ingredients to it.
Add the eggs with the 3/4 tablespoon of the cold butter to the pan. The butter will melt right into the eggs for buttery deliciousness!
Notice that the eggs will start to set immediately on the bottom.
Now, lower the heat to low-medium, and gently push from the bottom up.
Continue this motion until the eggs are set.
Turn the heat off when the eggs are almost set. Give them another stir or two.
The result will be creamy, fluffy scrambled eggs.
I like to enjoy mine directly in the pan. It makes for a nice presentation and also keeps the eggs warm longer.
