Welcome, and thank you for joining me, Alexia, blogger and owner at the It’s Everything Delicious blog, a blog about culinary adventures! Let me tell you a little bit more about me.
Food has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. One of my very first memories was from my 1st birthday party. Of all things, I vividly remember the cake! It was a Raggedy Ann and Andy cake in bright red, white, and blue colors!
Other childhood memories also revolved around food. When I was about 2 years old, I remember being too short to see the ice cream flavors in the ice cream shop and having to be lifted up in order to admire all the delicious looking flavors.
I remember going through all of my grandmother’s cookbooks before I was even old enough to read. I finally got my first cookbook at age 6, which prompted a life-long obsession of collecting hundreds of cookbooks, from every part of the world that I could get my hands on.
This obsession with food continued into adulthood. Every trip I took centered on having a chance to try authentic and delicious food experiences. When planning a trip out of state or out of the country, most people plan out what sites to see. I plan out what restaurants, pastry shops, and coffee shops I want to visit.
The type of food I share with you is delicious food, influenced by many cultures. I will share with you dishes from my Eastern European and Greek heritage. As a California girl, I grew up loving Mexican food (the cheesier and the more carbs the better). As a food enthusiast, I will share my love of French and Italian food.
You get the idea. It’s everything delicious!
Food is the common denominator that brings people together. A party with no food is just a gathering or meeting. From church potlucks to family gatherings to Super Bowl parties, we gather around food.
I hope to pass on to you ideas for delicious food you’ll enjoy with your family and friends.
