Brown Sugar Whipped Cream

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups heavy cream cold
  • 8 tablespoons confectioners sugar powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Pour the cold heavy cream into a bowl that has been refrigerated for at least 30 minutes.  Using a large whisk or electric mixer, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  2. Gradually add the confectioners sugar (powdered sugar) and beat the cream until stiff peaks form.  The confectioners sugar contains corn starch is is used to stabilize the cream.
  3. Continue mixing while gradually adding the brown sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until the sugar is well incorporated.  Give it a taste test to check.
  4. You can spoon the whipped cream directly onto your desserts, or fit it into a piping bag.
