Steakhouse Creamed Spinach
This Steakhouse Creamed Spinach one of the side dishes that I really enjoy next to a Christmas Prime Rib Roast, or a big juicy steak.
This spinach is so rich, creamy, and delicious. You almost forget that it’s a vegetable and it’s full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Keto Friendly Dish
Since this recipe has no flour or other high carb products, you can add it to your Keto Friendly repertoire of dishes.
Also, we are using cream instead of milk, so that is another reason it is on my Keto Friendly list.
Quick and easy
You can have this delicious steakhouse style creamed spinach ready for your family in less than 30 minutes.
Steps to rich, creamy, and delicious creamed spinach:
Bring a pot of water to a simmer. Add a generous tablespoon of salt. Your spinach will absorb some of it. Add the frozen spinach.
Cook until the leaves come apart.
Drain the spinach thoroughly. Squeeze as much of the water out as you can.
Melt the butter on low-medium heat.
Add the cream. Cook until the mixture starts to thicken and you can coat the back of a wooden spoon.
Add the pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Don’t add any more salt until you have added the parmesan cheese and spinach. The parmesan cheese has a little bit of a salty taste to it and the spinach as soaked up a little of the salt from the salted water.
Stir in the parmesan and cheddar cheeses.
Stir the spinach into the cream sauce. If at this point, you feel that you need a little bit more salt, you can add it. Cook for a few more minutes.
Enjoy!
