Mini Crescent Roll Hot Dogs
Also known as Pigs in a Blanket, these Mini Crescent Roll Hot Dogs are a great little appetizer you can serve at a party or get together. This would also make a fun kid-friendly meal or snack.
Serve these rolls with a variety of traditional hot dog dipping sauces, such as ketchup, mustard, Homemade BBQ Sauce, or Spicy Ranch Dressing.
Ingredients
You’ll need three basic ingredients:
- 1 (12 ounce) package of Lit’l Smokies Smoked Sausages
- 1 (8 ounce) package of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls: Original Refrigerated Canned Pastry Dough
- 1 Egg
Additional Ingredient:
- 1 teaspoon of either mustard, ketchup, or bbq sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How to make the Mini Crescent Roll Hot Dogs (Pigs in a Blanket)
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Roll out the crescent roll dough on a wooden cutting board.
- Cut each triangle into 3 or 4 triangular strips. Don’t worry, they don’t have to be symmetrical.
- Brush the dough with a little mustard, ketchup, or bbq sauce.
- Take a little hot dog piece and roll it in the dough, starting with the thicker end of the dough and ending with the thinner tip end of the dough.
- Place the rolls on a tray or cookie sheet lined with non-stick foil.
- In a small bowl or cup, beat an egg. Brush each roll with some of the beaten egg.
- Sprinkle a little salt on each roll.
- Bake for 16 to 18 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
