- Approximately 2 pounds of chicken thighs with the skin on
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 2 generous tablespoons natural maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon balsamic vinegar for a little zing

- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with nonstick foil for easier cleanup. Place a baking rack on the baking sheet. This will help the chicken to cook more evenly on its underside. Also, the chicken will not stew in its own juices.
- Prepare your maple butter glaze. In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter with salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, maple syrup, and balsamic vinegar.
- Rub a generous amount of the maple butter mixture on each chicken thighs, making sure to put plenty under the skin of the chicken thighs.
- Cover the chicken with nonstick foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
- Uncover the chicken and bake for about another 30 minutes, or until golden. Since over temperature varies, check on your chicken thighs after about 20 minutes.
